A suggestion

As our list of spells get larger could someone add a book mod for the server so we can put the list in those books as well as perhaps write our own textbooks and such?
example: at Flourish and Blotts we could have the dispensers dispense a book called Basic Spells. Later on we could add textbooks and things for the classes. Homework could be memorizing things and answering later at the next class for points to your house. This also could make the library more usefull! Please take this in to consideration

I would appreciate any feedback u have. Remember this is a rough idea, post your and discuss your ideas with the community, its how ideas grow! PS, any admin feedback would be great.

ok we would have to make a plugin for this which is a great idea btw and me and Simoa have the homework thing covered already great idea i think we have a plugin developer we could ask to make it but we have to get it approved by iking.

I think there may be a plugin called bookworm im not sure though. Oh yeah, it has come to my attention that we have a spell book mod (Courtesy of Mczipo) but this one offers such a wider variety of books, but as i said its a rough idea and will need to go through more disscussion and things PS: Apparently "bookworm" lets you write your own books hense the oppertunity of Textbooks, Novels etc.

There is a way to write down your spells in a regular book.

You should've learned that in charms class. If you didn't you'll have to wait for the next class and ask the Professor how to do it.

Maybe Permissions are messed up?

Bookworm looks like a fantastic plugin! It would be really cool to see it added to the server so that, like hungover said, we could have textbooks. Maybe during class teachers could assign us to read a certain number of pages, and then ask questions based on the text in those pages during the next class. Also could be used for homework. Great idea, hungover. (:

I watched a video of the bookworm plugin.
It suits the hogwarts server perfectly actually. If only we can get rid of a few permissions like removing the book from the booklist.

If we can set up permissions for that we can put books about old lessons in the library and there will be room for the homework you guys want.

I wonder if the books will stay intact though since everyone can add stuff (and probably will).

Well, theres permissions for who can add stuff to books that aren't their own, so you can just make that op/mod/admin only. If thats what you meant. xD

What plugin I really wish we had is a potions plugin. I love potions. ):

yeah and maybe make a new "author" group that is a normal group that can write the books. Either that or write the book and send it to the admins for addition. PS:thanks for all the feedback guys! We may just get this added yet!

There's a potion mod that the yogscast covered.
Send several emails to the creator asking him to do a plugin with the same features and I'll go jcam on king to get it.

I looked up the potions mod you were talking about and on the thread for it on the minecraft forum's the creator said that they probably won't release a plugin until the 1.8 update, and that it'd take a long time and a lot of work. ):

I sent a PM asking him if he were going to make the plugin sooner and if he wasn't - if I could make it.
I don't know anything about making plugins but I'll learn since this was his answer.

well great if were getting potions but we will need to find a teacher or vote on someone being a teacher for potions
