I don't know if we could do this, but described in the books, there are hourglasses that display how many points each house has. Maybe there could be updates le signs that are posted outside the great hall.

Surely there has to be a plugin created for scoring or accumulating points on a score board/sign system

Would be heaps better if an admin could use say a command like /give gryffindor 20
And it would automatically alter a sign in the great hall with the new total.

Perhaps we could build four hourglasses, and have each block of wool count as 5 or 10 points? The opening of the hourglasses could be at the top, and an admin can fly in and place however many blocks of wool depending on points being awarded, and they can be the same color as the house. Of course it would be much easier if, like pred said, the admins could use a command that'd automatically add or subtract from the total.

I've thought of that. The hourglasses would have to be huuuuuge to fit all the points though and I don't want a huge hourglass in the middle of the castle.

Sorry but, the points system wont be integrated into the server, Its not that much of a inconvenience to visit the forums once a day to check the scores. what does it matter anyway everyone is LOOSING points not gaining them.

i didn't know it was possible to get negative points.... i thought you couldn't do that since the hourglasses can't show negative numbers can they?

i do agree it would be nice to have a plugin..... but you need to be more active on forum

Xdark, just because a new player joins doesnt mean we are going to reset the house points every time that would be insane, if you wish you can make sure your house behaves better in the future

The reason Gryffindor is last is because of the amount of students in that house. There's more chance for them to lose points. Stop people from joining Gryffindor, make them join Hufflepuff or Slytherin. Almost everyone on the server is a Gryffindor. When you made the topic on minecraftforum.net pretty much everyone joined and immediately joined Gryffindor, the only one that didn't joined Slytherin by accident.

Could have been avoided if you'd closed Gryffindor at 100.
